James Conrad, the defending Disc Golf World Champion, will be teaming up with some of the sport's other top players in Emporia, Kansas later this year. Conrad, who is known for his outgoing personality, has suggested his teammates take frequent hug breaks in order to build team chemistry.
However, one of his teammates, Alden Harris is known for his strict no-hugging policy. "I've never played with Harris before, but I've heard he's a bit of a stickler for the rules," said Conrad. "I'm just hoping we can all get along and play well together." Despite the tension, Conrad is hopeful that his team can win the tournament. "I think we have a lot of talent on this team," said Conrad. "If we can just embrace our differences and come together as a team, I think we have a real shot."
Nate Sexton and Simon Lizotte have stated they're going to focus on disc golf and help their team win. "We'd like to put all this hugging nonsense behind us and move on," said Sexton, "Hug or don't hug, just pick one and play."
